I think I jinxed us last night…

Leah | June 24, 2008 | 5:33 pm

But joking aside, Charlie Morton needs to come out and pitch better than Jo-Jo did last night. And our offense needs to come back to life. Tonight it’s Charlie Morton facing Dave Bush, who beat us last time we saw him in yet another one-run game. Can we please do well tonight and tomorrow?

Tomorrow I will not post because, as I’ve mentioned, I will be going to Atlanta to see tomorrow’s game against the Brewers. Tomorrow is Brian McCann Bobblehead Night Day, so I’m hoping to get one of those. I will take pictures of this statuesque Bobblehead as well as the game and other things. I will make a post with pictures and some possible footage with some commentary and review of my trip on Thursday or Friday.

For now though, I leave you with a video I made last night. It’s the first one I’ve made in a few years, so I’m sure it pretty much sucks. But you can view it anyway. I might add onto it as the year goes on and I get more pictures and footage to use, just depends. The footage is from FanFest in January, it’s not very viewable because of the lighting and the effects that I used, but excuse that please. I might post it without the effects since I can remove it if I wish; I just thought the effect went with the song I added to it. I also added in some pictures from FanFest of McFrenchy and some KJ from Braves Live and a Spring Training game from TV as well. All comments are welcome, so feel free to do so.

Now What?

Leah | June 12, 2008 | 10:01 pm

I feel like we’re watching those Now What? commercials about insurance, where something is always going great then something bad happens in the end. While those are just commercials and made up segments of companies trying to sell insurance, we keep living in this Now What? funk that we have been in for a while. Will it get better? Who knows? If this is how we keep playing, then I think we should come up with a new motto for the remainder of the season. See the video below.

Also, my posting will now start being later in the day because I’m no longer at school and am sleeping in more often than not during the summer. I didn’t post earlier today because of the early game, but most days I will post sometime in the afternoon.

On The Road Again

Leah | May 28, 2008 | 12:56 pm

We really need to figure out what we’re doing on the road, because whatever it is, we need to remedy it now. You can’t stay in the race with the road woes we currently and continue to have. It’s obvious Bobby didn’t want to send anyone but Huddy out last night in the late innings, but of course, the Brewers found some way to overcome our lowly two runs. It’s going to catch up with us sooner or later in the season. I hope we find out a way to overcome these road woes or we might as well kiss October goodbye for the third straight year. You can’t win the division playing this badly on every single road trip. It just won’t happen. Let’s hope with Oh-no, Jo-Jo pitching tonight that we can pull out a win.

With that, I give you a video in honor of our road woes:

At least it’s Mother’s Day…

Leah | May 11, 2008 | 9:10 am

Normally I wouldn’t post a video unless it were baseball related (with exception of the previous End of Ze World video), but I always seemed to think the Mother’s Day episode from Full House, and yes, I watched the show growing up and still watch reruns of the show on ABCFamily, was so cute! Especially the part with the Mother’s Day song. Observe below:

Don’t forget to tell your mom Happy Mother’s Day today.

Ok, well moving onto a baseball topic. We need to find ways to win on the road. Our bats have not existed so far on this roadtrip or any roadtrip so far this season. Why? What’s so different about hitting on the road? Ok, probably a lot, but still. Can we at least not have a repeat of last year’s Mother’s Day game and actually win with possibly our most consistent pitcher on the mound? Please?

ETA: I added two new themes to the Theme Switcher, so choose which one you like best and use it. The default one I just found overwrite’s the threaded comments plugin, unfortunately. This default is also probably only temporary. While I like it, there are some things about it that get on my nerves. Expect another default theme soon. But I do love the header image that I made for the site, as you’ve probaly noticed since it’s used on all three themes.

  • I've put up a new theme as you've probably noticed, but I'm still working on a few others to use as well. The Theme Switcher is still down for that reason and will be back up as soon I'm finished.
